MAKE LOVE NOT WAR
“Make Love Not War” 4th of a series of paintings is my way of expressing my thoughts about war in
general and my wish for peace in the world. The choice of the different colour is to represent race,
culture, religion and beliefs putting them together side by side to encourage tolerance and
understanding. The expression is from the images of the recent war in Iraq. I have chosen this subject of soldiers (representing the Human Kind) FACING BACK and NAKED to say that we as the thinking creation has once again forgotten the lesson of the past. Some of the men in the painting seem to be in conversation with others to look for a solution to the conflict, some of them ignored what others say, and some of them listened, but others doesn't seem to care at all. One thing remarkable though is that not a single hand can be seen to present what is the solution to the situation.
